Rotary Club of Dunnville and Watertite Roofing Bursary – Construction or Trade Program
Overview
The Rotary Club of Dunnville has been serving the community since 1993. While Rotary may be international in scope, local involvement is often the spark of real change. Our local projects include,
- Construction of the Observation deck in Thompson Creek Park
- Support for school nutrition programs
- Continuing support to cultural events like the Dunnville Community Theatre
- Hosting Youth Dances
- Contribute to Strong Start reading program
- Sponsor the walk for Haldimand World Suicide prevention.
- Support the Youth Impact Center

What we do:
Rotary members believe we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Our 35,000+ clubs work together to:
- Promote peace
- Fight disease
- Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Save mothers and children
- Support education
- Grow local economies
Scholarship Value: $1,500.00
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be entering into a Construction or Trade related program.
- Maintain a “B” average (73%) in Grades 11 and 12
- Complete a minimum of 10 hours of community service with the Rotary Club of Dunnville
Applicants must provide:
- A resume outlining paid work and school and/or community-based volunteer experience
- Two reference letters, one from your community and one from your school;
- A written statement, minimum 500 words, describing at least ONE of the following:
- What are your career goals are
- How do you think your chosen career will positively impact society
- A memorable volunteer experience and how it impacted your life
- Your interests and hobbies outside of school and why these are important to you
