Rotary Club of Dunnville Strategic Plan 2026–2030

Our Vision

By 2030, the Rotary Club of Dunnville will be recognized as a club that creates meaningful and lasting impact in our community and beyond. Whether described as "Small Town Club, Big Community Impact," "Dunnville Rotary: The Go-To Problem Solvers," or "Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things," we will be known for our leadership, service, collaboration, and ability to respond to community needs.

Our Strategic Priorities

1. Increase Community Impact and Visibility

We will strengthen Rotary's presence in Dunnville by increasing awareness of our projects, accomplishments, and community contributions.

Goals:

  • Modernize and regularly update our website and social media platforms.
  • Share success stories and project outcomes with local media and the community.
  • Promote Rotary as an inclusive, welcoming organization open to all.
  • Increase public recognition of Rotary's impact through signage, events, and community partnerships.

2. Strengthen Collaboration and Community Connections

We will continue to build strong relationships with organizations that share our commitment to serving the community.

Goals:

  • Expand partnerships with local service clubs, schools, businesses, healthcare organizations, and community groups.
  • Explore collaborative fundraising opportunities such as Catch the Ace and other joint initiatives.
  • Continue supporting projects that address emerging community needs through rapid response and teamwork.
  • Position Rotary as a trusted community leader and problem-solving organization.

3. Grow and Engage Membership

A strong, engaged membership is essential to Rotary's future success.

Goals:

  • Recruit diverse members of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Develop a structured mentorship and member onboarding program.
  • Create leadership development and succession planning opportunities.
  • Increase member participation through meaningful service projects and social connections.

4. Invest in Youth and Future Leaders

We will create opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, serve their community, and connect with Rotary values.

Goals:

  • Explore the creation of youth Rotary programs and leadership initiatives.
  • Continue supporting scholarships, youth drama, Christmas programs, and educational opportunities.
  • Build a sustainable pipeline of future community leaders and potential Rotary members.

Signature Initiatives

Over the next three to five years, Rotary will focus on initiatives that align with our vision and community priorities:

  • Community Health & Well-Being
  • Scholarships and Youth Development
  • Duck Race, Golf Tournament, Nevada Tickets, and other key fundraisers
  • Community Pride projects including The Muddy, Veterans initiatives, Canada Day, and International Women's Day
  • Global Impact initiatives including Polio eradication, water projects, Toilets for Togo, and environmental stewardship programs

Measuring Success

By 2030, success will be measured through:

  • Increased membership and member engagement.
  • Greater public awareness of Rotary's work.
  • Stronger partnerships and collaborative projects.
  • Expanded youth participation and leadership development.
  • Sustainable fundraising growth and increased community impact.
